Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his distinctive style. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway through the Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine has the name Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was the first to begin pursuing a musical career performing and singing at the church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B music scene. It has been remixed and a part of her set. Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. She became the primary pianist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director in the production staged by Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine became famous during the four daily performances in 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
