Selena began her music career in the age of eight in a group formed by Abraham Quintanilla. It was made up of Selena and her younger siblings Abraham junior who played the base guitar as well as Sister Suzette who played drums and Selena was the vocalist of the group. Selena Y Los Dino was the name of her band and Selena sang with her siblings in restaurants, bars and wedding fairs. Selena along with her sisters as well as their parents were extremely busy with the band. The band never had the luxury of a family.
